  • Winners of the Active Norfolk & EDP Norfolk Sporting School of the Year 2013 for the second year running

  • One of the first chols in the country to be awarded School Games highest award - Gold

  • Best examination results:100% A* -B Year 10 GCSE PE , 92% A* - C Year 11 GCSE PE  and 100% A* - B Year 11 BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Sport

  • 86% of Y10 students passed Sports Leader UK Level 2 Award

  • Y9 athletics champions at school games

  • U14 Rugby team runners up in the Rugby Plate Final 2013

  • KS4 Rugby team runners up at the County Plate Final 2014. Nominated for team of the year 2014

  • Semi-finalists at the County U15 Rugby 7’s Competition, winning their group beating Wymondham College, Fakenham, and Great Yarmouth and drew with KES. Losing to Springwood in the semi-final

  • U16 Netball team come 4th in the County Netball Tournament, beating Wymondham College, Lynn Grove, Litcham and Swaffham Convent, and only just losing to Greshams, Norwich School and Hellesdon. Winners of team of the year 2013 and nominated for team of the year 2014

  • U16 Netball team runners up at the U16 District Netball league qualifying for the County Championships March 2014 for the 6th time

  • Nine students qualified for the County Cross Country Championships, five students then went on to qualify for the Regional Cross Country Championships where they represented Norfolk. Nominated for team of the year 2014

  • Four students then were selected for the English Schools Cross Country Championships; Fletcher Yarham Y11, Ellie Bushell Y10, Scott & Mark Greenaway

  • U14 Girls 5 aside Football team come 3rd out of 14 teams in the tournament qualifying for the County finals

  • U14 Girls Football team win Europa League Finals after beating 8 schools. 22 goals scored and 2 conceded in entire competition. Nominated for team of the year 2014

  • Super Sixes Golf team win County Championships beating 7 other teams across Norfolk. Nominated for team of the year 2014

  • Specialist coaches still in place for Table Tennis, Archery, Fencing & Trampolining

  • Coaching programmes in place for Golf, Cricket and Touch Rugby

  • APHS organised first ever Schools Show Jumping competition at Houghton International May 2013 and have been asked again for May 2014

  • 1st in the 2’3 team Show Jumping competition at Houghton International 2013

  • Four students qualified to represent North Norfolk at the school games 2013 in the Aquathlon. Jessica Douglas, Mark and Scott Greenaway Y9 and Ellie Bushell Y10

  • Winners of the U13 North Norfolk football league

  • Winners of the U15 North Norfolk football league

  • Runners up of the U16 North Norfolk football league

  • Runners up of the U14 North Norfolk football league

  • U14 girls Dodgeball team qualify for the Regional Championships after being runners at the County Dodgeball tournament

  • U14 & U16 boy’s Dodgeball teams make semi-finals in the County Championships

  • Twenty nine students from APHS qualified to represent North Norfolk in the Winter School Games 2014

  • U14 girl’s Table Tennis team win County Championships 2014; Sabrina Rayner, Hollie Betts and Tilly Betts. The girls Table Tennis teams were also champions 2013, runners up 2012, champions 2011 & 2010

  • Y8 Boys win the North Norfolk Sportshall Athletics Competition and are through to County

  • Y7 boys and girls & Y8 girls teams come 2nd in the North Norfolk Sportshall Athletics Competition

  • Two students, Oliver Dewson Y9 & Connor Rumbles Y8 qualify for the Winter School Games Skiing Finals. Oliver Dewson wins the Individual Gold medal in the KS3 Slalom and North Norfolk win Gold in the Team competition

  • Two students make County Rowing Finals; James Rushmore Y9 & Jack Rodwell Y7, James Rushmore won individual silver and gold in the relay.

  • Five students make County Table Tennis Championships: Sabrina Rayner, Hollie Betts Y9, Tilly Betts, Joshua Whitaker and Jacob Hewson Y8

  • Four students qualify to represent North Norfolk at the Winter School Games 2014 in Swimming; Mark & Scott Greenaway, Jessica Douglas & George Smith. George achieved a Bronze medal in the team and Mark achieved two bronze medals in the Breaststroke and Freestyle

  • Fifty one students form APHS represented North Norfolk in the Summer school games 2013, an increase from twenty seven students in 2012

  • Twenty nine students qualified to represent North Norfolk in Athletics for the Summer School Games. With many students receiving medals

  • Tim Prendergast NZ Olympic Gold Medallist works with all our nominees and our GCSE students in Y10 & 11

  • Tashan Muir performs LIVE with our very own Abigail Brown at Celebration of Sport Awards Evening 2014

  • 2nd annual PE & Performance evening saw PE, Music & Drama collaborate for performances in dance and gymnastics

  • On average 22 extra - curricular clubs on offer a week in 19 different sports

  • Thirty four different sports on offer over the year  

  • Students experience a curriculum which gives breadth and depth in nine different sports over the year

  • £2000 Generously given by sponsors to help fund the Celebration of Sport Awards Evening 2014

  • Fourth annual Sports Tour to Malta for Netball, Football and Golf. Netball team win tournament, U15 Football team finished runners up in their age group, losing out in a penalty shoot-out

  • Sports Leaders have helped organise Cluster Primary Multi-skills festivals and competitions in Tag Rugby, Cross Country, Football, Quicksticks Hockey, High 5 Netball, Aquathlon, Swimming, Kwik Cricket, Volleyball, Tri-Golf and Mini Tennis. They have also helped organised and delivered the Sportshall Athletics at the North Norfolk Partnership Finals 2014 and the Cross Country and Rowing County Finals 2014
